A 94th minute goal from George Lebese saw Kaizer Chiefs get back to their winning ways in the Absa Premiership with a 2-1 win over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida stadium on Wednesday night.

The win sees Chiefs up 28 points on the league table with nine wins and one draw from their first ten league games.

George Lebese, whose goal earned Chiefs the victory and him the Man of the Match award, said belief and persistence had paid off.

"This was a team effort. It was because of my teammates and the technical staff, this goes to them," Lebese said on receiving an award for his individual display.

"It was very difficult for us, they were strong and they got the first goal. It was difficult to come back in the game. Fortunately we got the points.

"The belief was always there after conceding. We pushed until the final minute."

Lebese took to Twitter to show off his Man of the Match award:
