Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic manager Clinton Larsen says that Polokwane City were the better team in their PSL encounter as Rises and Shine handed Siwelele 3-0 defeat.

Rise and Shine produced a much-improved performance on Saturday, having been soundly beaten by Mamelodi Sundowns a few days before.

Kosta Papic's men broke the deadlock in first-half injury time before adding two more after the break to put the result beyond any doubt.

Larsen was complimentary in defeat, however, praising Polokwane's midfield domination.

"We knew they were going to come at us, wave after wave on attack," said Larsen.

"We had a few very good chances throughout the game and didn't take any of them, and that was the difference today.

"I just thought we were second best. They were top class, especially in the midfield where Jabu Maluleke and Cole Alexander ran the show.

"We couldn't really get to them. Their movement was good and their usage of the ball was exceptional.

"We must give credit where it's due. Polokwane were the better team."
