Larsen: A performance we can build on

Cape Town -  Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen lamented their 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars, stating it was a missed opportunity to grab their first Premiership win.

Celtic were held at home by Dikwena at the Free State Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Lyle Lakay put the home team in the lead on the 36th minute mark, while Sibusiso Msomi equalized in the 50th minute for Stars.

Celtic went down to 10 men when Bevan Fransman left the field after a head collision with Ndumiso Mabena with a quarter of an hour remaining.

"I thought there were a lot of encouraging signs, I thought we could have put the game to bed we had a couple of chances to go two or three goals up and we didn't take them," Larsen said in his post-match interview.

"I am very happy with the effort unfortunately we finished with 10 men but still the structure was there and we made the adjustment.

"The result was not what we wanted but it's a performance we can build on.

"We have a lot of new players at the clubs players are starting to understand the way we play."
