Langerman: We want to start well

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns and University of Pretoria meet in the opening semi-final of the Charity Showdown at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday morning and defender Tebogo Langerman says they want to start well.

The left-back told Sport24 that they have been doing well in the pre-season and they want to continue with that spirit this morning.

"We need to start well and win against Tuks so that we can reach the final and win the trophy," Langerman said.

“We have been busy in the pre-season and we are building a strong team and to prove that we have to win today. We need to start well and finish well in this tournament.

“We are however not taking our opponents lightly. We respect our opponents and we will play knowing that they are a good team as well, but we want to win this tournament.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
