Laffor happy to be a team player

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns super-sub Anthony Laffor says football is not about the individual and everybody has to accept their role in the team.

Having been a regular starter in previous seasons, Laffor has been utilised as an impact player by coach Pitso Mosimane in recent times - the attacker has made five appearances as a substitute this season.

"If you want to be successful you need to work hard and I am happy that I am brought on with the purpose of making an impact," Laffor told the club's website.

"There are so my good players at Mamelodi Sundowns, and I am grateful for the confidence that the coach is showing in me, and his belief in my ability to make an impact.

"It is for this reason that I do not have a problem in coming on as a substitute, and with specific brief from the coach as to what he wants me to do.

"My good form at both Mamelodi Sundowns and country is thanks to the support of the technical team and coaches. And of course my mates also play a great role in urging me on and encouraging me."
