Maritzburg returned to winning form in midweek when they defeated Orlando Pirates 2-1 in Soweto.

The KwaZulu-Natal team has claimed 11 points from six home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are AmaZulu (home), Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City (both away).

Komphela's Team of Choice is placed fourth on the PSL log with 20 points from 13 matches.

University of Pretoria suffered just their second away loss of the season when they went down 2-1 at AmaZulu in midweek.

The Tshwane side has claimed nine points from seven away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Mamelodi Sundowns (home), Polokwane City (away) and Bidvest Wits (home).

AmaTuks are placed 14th on the PSL log with 13 points from as many matches.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Tuks have met in four previous top flight league matches.

The Team of Choice has one win to their name, while the other three matches have all ended in draws.

Both of the two matches in which United have been hosts have ended in draws.

Last season the KwaZulu-Natal team took four points off AmaTuks, drawing 1-1 at home before a 3-2 win in the return match in Pretoria.

Kick-off is at 20:00 on Friday, December 5.
