Cape Town - Following his sides hard fought win over Kaizer Chiefs, Steve Kompela heaps praise on his Maritzburg United players.

According to Soccer Laduma, admits that their victory was “written in the stars” and nobody could change that.

“If you exhaust all the means and ways of how not to win, the only option is to win and I think justice prevailed,” said Komphela.

“There is nothing as bad as when you find your house almost collapsing, when you know you had built a very strong foundation, but for whatever reasons you find that things are not working. We had not been winning, they had been wining, and the substitute we made, the first touch becomes a goal – if it is written in the stars nobody can change it.

“Stuart Baxter has done a tremendous job, unfortunately it had to happen, a team that is not used to losing has lost against a team that is not used to winning.”
