Komphela calm over Abraw future

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela admits he is 'concerned' about the ongoing uncertainty over the future of striker Camaldine Abraw.

The former Free State Stars frontman was available on a free transfer in the off-season, and agreed a deal with Bloemfontein Celtic before having a change of heart and signing for Amakhosi instead.

The Togo international's actions did not go down well with Celtic, who are currently in the process of contesting his move to Chiefs.

Komphela insists he is no worried about the dispute over Abraw, telling Soccer Laduma: "Worried, no. Concerned, yes.

"I am concerned that he is not available at the moment, but this would also give the chance to those who are available to prove themselves and claim their place.

"We are working with him to concentrate on his game and forget about what's happening. We don't want to think about the negative and to avoid that we don't talk about it."
