The influential winger sits out the match at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit because of an accumulation of yellow cards.
He received his fourth caution of the season in Pirates’ last league game against Free State Stars and automatically misses the next match.
It leaves the Buccaneers further threadbare as they continue to battle with injury to key personnel that has hampered their bid to keep alive hopes of defending their title.
While midfielder Oupa Manyisa is expected to return to the line-up for the match, Pirates are still struggling to get the likes of Andile Jali, Sifiso Myeni and Siyabonga Sangweni fit for the key game, officials said on Friday.
Jali is still battling with an ankle injury and Sangweni’s knee is swollen. Coach Roger de Sa hopes he might get some game time out of Myeni, who injured his knee at the start of the year
After drawing their last six successive league games, third placed Pirates need a win to stay in contention as the campaign comes to a close.
“I’ve been doing full training and looking forward to working my way back into the team,” said Manyisa.
“It will be a tough match but we have the obligation to win it,” De Sa also told Orlandopiratesfc.com.
“Wits are on a good form at the moment and I know they will come to this match ready to fight for maximum points, but we will be ready for them; we cannot keep dropping points because we have very few matches to catch up so, this one will be tough but we will play to win it,” he said.
“We will have attack a lot – no doubt about it, we need the goals so we will have to go look for it. Having said that, we will also have to be very careful at the back – we cannot keep conceding soft goals anymore,” the coach added.
