Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has hailed the impact of veteran wingers Daine Klate and Elias Pelembe after their debuts against SuperSport United on Tuesday.
Hunt previously worked with both men during the trio's time at Matsatsantsa, where the club enjoyed plenty of success between 2007 and 2010, highlighted by three consecutive Premiership titles during that time.
Hunt applauded the duo's influence during their MTN8 quarter-final clash against United at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday, where goals from Sibusiso Vilakazi, Klate and Henrico Botes booked the Students' place in the last-four with a 3-1 extra-time victory.
"That's why I won things with them at SuperSport; that's why I signed them, you know, they are fantastic players," Hunt told KickOff.
"Obviously we've worked on combinations in pre-season so you would think it looks good. I know what my eyes see and, with people like Pelembe and Klate, I'm sure there'll be more.
"For me they are the best two wide players in the country, but they need to get fit. Pelembe's missed a lot of football, Daine didn't play much football last season, so they are both blowing."
