Kings Cup is serious for us - Chiefs

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung has insisted that the Amakhosi will take their strongest possible team to compete in the King’s Super Cup in Swaziland.

“We are not going to Swaziland for fun,” Motaung told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

“We will compete with a full-strength team and we will show what Kaizer Chiefs is all about.”

Motaung also talked about the tournament bringing fans of football from the two countries together.

“Let’s celebrate these games together as Swazis and South Africans. This tournament is about the friendship that exists between both countries.”

“The tournament will also be an opportunity to have a look at some players. We always found our feet in Swaziland and many Swazi players found their feet at Kaizer Chiefs.”

The tournament takes place on the July 18 with Chiefs facing Mbabane Swallows in the first semi-final at 9:00.

Orlando Pirates take on Royal Leopards at 11:00, with the final will take place at 15:00.
