Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo says that he is delighted to have been voted to play in the Carling Black Label Cup against Orlando Pirates this weekend.
The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, who won his first cap for the nation three years ago under former coach Pitso Mosimane whilst on loan at Thanda Royal Zulu from Amazulu, made his mark for the Amakhosi during the 2014/15 season.
Khuzwayo was the first-choice goalkeeper for much of the season, especially with Itumeleng Khune out injured for much of the year, and the Umlazi-born found himself back in the national set-up under Shakes Mashaba.
"My duty is to do work for the club and achieve this with the team," Khuzwayo told Sport24.
"I am happy that the supporters have voted for me in the Carling Black Label Cup, and I am happy that I will play for them on Saturday.”
With word that Khune agreed to rejoin Chiefs, Khuzwayo will hope to seize the opportunity he has been handed the fans, and impress coach Steve Komphela, ahead of the 2015/16 season.
