Confirmed: Khune, Chiefs agree terms

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has agreed a deal in principle to re-sign with Kaizer Chiefs.

Khune and Chiefs have been at the centre of one of the longest running transfer sagas in South African soccer history but the player and his club of 16 years have now reached an agreement which will keep him at Naturena for the foreseeable future.

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the news on Thursday.

"The Club has reached an agreement in principle with goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune and he will be joining us." read the club's statement.

"Some internal procedures still need to take place though and then the deal will be 100% finalized."

The club also confirmed that talks were ongoing between the club and midfielder Mandla Masango, with an update to be given in due course.
