Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, has praised Siphiwe Tshabalala for the incredibly high standards he maintains as a player and as a team-mate.
According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Glamour Boys skipper has explained that his long-time team-mate is something of a perfectionist in everything he does on and off the field. Khune, who has won a number of personal playing accolades in recent times, explained that Tshabalala gives nothing less than 100% in everything that he does.
In addition, despite a 2013/14 season in which Chiefs won no silverware, 'Shabba' was a standout performer.
The versatile attacking midfielder recorded 18 assists in all competitions during the last campaign.
It’s expected that the veteran playmaker is going to have a massively influential role to play as Chiefs get ready for 2014/15.
Khune highlighted why Tshabalala is so important to the club’s future ambitions. He told Soccer Laduma in edition 877, “If you talk about a true professional, you are talking about 'Shabba'. He respects his game so much at all times. It doesn’t matter whether he is playing or not, he gives 100% in everything he does concerning the game.”
'Itu' added that his team-mate’s influence went beyond just football matters, “He adds to the dressing room with his singing. He leads team songs, both at club and national team level. He and Reneilwe Letsholonyane are the team’s leading singers.”
