Khune expects big response

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune expects his side to bounce back from their Telkom Knockout defeat when they face Maritzburg United in the PSL on Friday.

Amakhosi saw a second cup pass them by this season after they were dumped out the Ziwa Mo by Bidvest Wits in their last-16 encounter on Friday.

The Glamour Boys, MTN8 flops earlier this term, will now have to shake off their recent loss as they look to extend their lead at the top of the PSL to seven points, and Bafana Bafana number-one Khune is looking for that 'bouncebackability' factor at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

"The guys were obviously down following the (TKO) defeat, but we all know that the most important thing when you are down is dusting yourself off and bouncing back, and we aim to do this on Friday against Maritzburg United," he told Backpage TXT.
