According to Soccer Laduma, Khune had been undergoing trials with the Port Elizabeth side.

The deal was supposed to be completed before their first 2014/15 league game against Platinum Stars but club CEO, Peter Koutroulis, confirmed the deal was done - the brother of Bafana Bafana captain Itumeleng Khune will be with the Chilli Boys for the rest of the season.

“Yes, Lucky has signed with us and he'll be our player for the entire season. He's signed a one-year deal,” said Koutroulis.
