“Itumeleng Khune had an X-ray and no problem was found,” reports the Kaizer Chiefs Medical Team on the clubs website.

The goalkeeper was stretchered off-the-pitch after he collided with teammate Morgan Gould in Amakhosi’s 4-0 win over Edu Sports last Saturday.

“He just has a bruise which will take a day or so to settle, but it’s nothing serious,” continues the report.

Khune then confirmed: “I am feeling a slight pain, but I should be fine in no time.”

Meanwhile, the medical meam reported: “Tsepo Masilela will be back in training on Tuesday.”

Masilela was withdrawn during the warm-up prior because of a slight injury before the Absa Premiership match against SuperSport United last week.

Amakhosi will travel to Botswana for the second leg of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League this Saturday, February 28. Chiefs won the first leg 2-1 at home.

The match is taking place at the National Stadium in Gaborone.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
