Johannesburg - After missing out on Kaizer Chiefs’ goalless draw with Platinum Stars, goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will be back for the team when they face Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday.
According to the Soccer-Laduma website, Khune served his one-match suspension in the 0-0 draw with Dikwena, which saw Brilliant Khuzwayo fill in for the club captain, however he is now ready to continue the team’s challenge for league glory.
The Bafana Bafana 'keeper said the team played well on Sunday, but now need to focus on their upcoming fixture against the Urban Warriors.
With three games left in the season and the league title theirs to lose, Khune believes the final three games will be one of the team’s most challenging tasks of the campaign.
"As a team we have done very well the whole season and we have to continue working hard until the end. We have done very well throughout the season and we can’t afford to lose it now.
"As players we talk amongst ourselves and we have agreed that the fight has become hard and that we have to be up for the challenge," Khune said.
The Amakhosi will face two Tshwane sides after Wednesday’s game with Ajax, as they take on SuperSport United and University of Pretoria in their final sprint to the finish line.
