According to the Football411 website, Amakhosi were held to a 1-1 draw against SuperSport United on Wednesday evening, although the point was enough to wrap up the Premiership title heading into the final game of the season on Saturday.
Baxter, who was forced to watch the game from the sidelines
following his red card a fortnight ago, was appointed Chiefs tactician
at the beginning of the campaign and is on course for a double this term
as they still have the Nedbank Cup final to contest later this month.

Khumalo, who has taken up the reins for the final matches of the season, told Chiefs' official website: "People did not give (Baxter) a chance when he came here back in May. They questioned his CV but the club new exactly what they wanted to achieve.
"The coach brought new ideas and made the players believe in themselves. He also made the players realise the importance of donning the gold and black.
"It was not planned that I had to take the bench without him this evening. We have worked as a team for the entire season.
"Preparation started at training and I am glad the boys pulled it off. Words cannot describe how I feel about this victory."
