The Bafana Bafana captain was gunned down on Sunday evening in Vosloorus and was confirmed dead after being rushed to hospital.
Pirates issued an immediate statement in which Khoza commented: "This is a sad loss whichever way you look at it - to Senzo's family, his extended family, Orlando Pirates and to the nation."
The 27-year-old was between the sticks when the Buccaneers thrashed Ajax Cape Town 4-1 in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
Pirates could look to reschedule Saturday's Soweto derby league encounter against archrivals Kaizer Chiefs, but club stated that it would issue another statement and will hold a press conference to elaborate on the matter on Monday morning.
