Kekana: We’re motivated to reclaim title

Cape Town - Hlompho Kekana says Mamelodi Sundowns are motivated to reclaim the Absa Premiership title this season.

The Brazilians, who lost in the MTN8 quarter-finals to Bloemfontein Celtic on penalties, begin their league campaign away to Platinum Stars on Saturday evening.

Kekana says that team success is the main goal and that they will try now to lay a foundation for a great season.

“Chiefs had a great season last season and missing out on the league has motivated us this year to reclaim the title,” Kekana told Sport24

“We ended last season on a high with the Nedbank Cup and are hard at work trying to lay a foundation for a successful season.

“I have been so blessed to have the career I have had so far and I hope that 2015/16 can be another memorable year. 

“Team success is the main goal. 

“We would like to win some silverware and also leave a mark in the CAF competitions.

“Personally I would like to keep growing and improving as a player and score a few more goals…"
