Kekana: The mood has been set

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana admits that the team has prepared well and the mood has been set after winning their pre-season tour games.

The Limpopo born says playing in Africa has given them great experience and look forward to the MTN8 quarter-finals challenge posed by Bloemfontein Celtic.

"I think we have prepared very well, if you check the team, the mood is okay and we have been winning the games in our pre-season tour," Kekana told the SuperSport.

"I am happy that we have managed to get the experience of playing in Africa and we are now looking forward to the match.”

"Getting off to a good start is important; winning the MTN8 will be a great moral boost for the team.”

“If you start by winning the MTN8 you normally stand a chance if winning the league, we have seen that happening for so many years.”

"We want to start very well and hopefully we win everything this year."

Mamelodi Sundowns face Celtic at the Lucas Moripe stadium tonight Wednesday, August 5.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
