Cape Town - Zimbabwean striker Patrick Kaunda is set to leave Platinum Stars during the upcoming transfer window as he does not feature in Cavin Johnson's future plans.

The 24-year-old was recruited by former Dikwena coach Allan Freese from FC Satmos in the off-season after finishing the previous campaign as the top scorer in the Botswana Premier League.

However, Kaunda failed to establish himself at the Rustenburg outfit and managed just one Premiership start all season, dropping further drop the pecking order when Johnson returned to the helm as Freese's successor.

And despite having just over a year left on his current contract at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, the former Zimbabwe youth international is expected to be offloaded in the coming weeks as Johnson looks to rebuild for 2015/16 after finishing a disappointing 11th this term.
