Katsande named Chiefs' best

Cape Town - Willard Katsande was named Kaizer Chiefs' Player of the Season at the club's annual award ceremony on Wednesday night.

Although the 2013/14 season has been a disappointing one for Chiefs - by failing to retain the League and Nedbank Cup titles, and failure in the CAF Champions League - there are still many positives to take away from this season.

Itumeleng Khune and Bernard Parker already scooped up awards at the Premier Soccer League ceremony on Sunday evening, with Khune being named Goalkeeper of the Season, while Parker was awarded the Golden Boot.

Katsande was also named Player's Player of the Season, Fans Player of the Season and Online Player of the Season, reports Soccer-Laduma website.

Other individual awards included:

Most Improved Player:
Eric Mathoho (R25 000)

Top Goalscorer of the Season: Knowledge Musona - 16 Goals (R40 000)

Goal of the Season: Knowledge Musona (R20 000)

Fair Play Award: Eric Mathoho (R20 000)

Chairman's Award: Sylvester Kole

Chairman's Special Award: Lucky Stylianou
