Karuru staying at Chiefs

Cape Town - Despite being put on the loan list by Kaizer Chiefs, Ovidy Karuru is not leaving Naturena any time soon, according to reports.

A source at the club told Sport24 that the Zimbabwean convinced Steve Komphela that he be given the chance to prove himself at the Amakhosi.

The source said that the coach gave everyone the chance in pre-season and Karuru had proven himself.

"It's true he was put on loan, together with other players,” the source said.

“But coach had asked the management that he should stay at least for now and that's why you see he has been registered by the team.

"He is still at Chiefs for now."
