Sono closes in on assistant coach

Cape Town - Jomo Sono is very close to appointing his new assistant coach that will partner Siza Dlamini in his technical team as Jomo Cosmos prepare for a return to top flight football.

Sport24 has been informed that Sono wants an assistant coach with vast experience of continental football, who will add value to his team, and the two parties are finalising negotiations.

“I can tell you that Jomo has identified an assistant coach who will work with him along with Siza Dlamini, who has been the second in command as the club fought its way to top flight football,” the source said.

“Look, things are looking good for ‘Bra J’ as far as the transfers are concerned and he is also finalising talks to bring in another man to his technical team.”

Cosmos are also in negotiations to add experienced forward Siyabonga Nomvethe to their squad after his team Moroka Swallows were relegated.
