Cape Town - Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson praised his team for going all out and playing to the best of their abilities when they took on Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, August 23.
Johnson said that the draw was not what they expected but he was glad with the good moments his team had.
“Look it’s not something we expected, we had that one point going to Bloemfontein Celtic so we had to do something,” he told Sport24.
“Playing against Celtic is always a tough one but what can we say; that’s football for you.
“We played to the best of our ability, and we really had some good moments in that match.
“We could have worked on our defence, because we played against a team that’s very good and strong on the attack; that’s what they had most over us.
“My goalkeeper did very well, Bevan was looking very good as well and props to my midfielders so basically my whole team.
“They are always outstanding out there and all heart in every game.”
Platinum Stars played to a 1-1 draw against Phunya Sele Sele at Free State Stadium.
