Jimmy Tau on the mend

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed Jimmy Tau has started his rehabilitation program following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.

According to footballl411.com website, the right-back has been out of action since picking up the injury last season in the goalless draw against AmaZulu, the final game of the 2011/12 PSL campaign.

Initial reports suggested the Amakhosi defender would return to training in September, but he has only now come out of his orthopedic leg brace and begun his return to fitness.

Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner told the club's official website: "(Tau) is out of the orthopaedic boot and is starting his rehab programme."

The doctor also had positive prognosis for Morgan Gould and Jimmy Jambo, adding: "Morgan Gould and Jimmy Jambo are both on track to return in February and September [next year] respectively."

Milner continued: "Arthur Bartman, who missed the two games against Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates last week after injuring ligaments on his left knee, will resume training later this week."
