Jele out for six to nine months

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele will have to undergo knee surgery following his MRI results on Monday night.

Jele, who picked up a horrific injury after colliding with defender Siboniso Gumede over the weekend, underwent an MRI scan yesterday to examine the full extent of his injury.

Results reveal that the Bafana Bafana international has damaged his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) and has also torn his meniscus, which means he will have to undergo an operation once the swelling has subsided.

The club medical department has ruled Jele out of action for between six to nine months.
