Jele geared up for 2015

Cape Town - Defender Happy Jele hopes Orlando Pirates do not lose any of their focus over the holiday break as they look to hit the ground running in 2015.

The Buccaneers endured a rocky start to their Absa Premiership campaign, which led to Vladimir Vermezovic stepping down from the hot seat, although they managed to close the year out with victory as they saw off Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1.

However, with the Soweto giants fourth in the standings and already 20 points adrift of leaders Kaizer Chiefs, Jele knows the importance of maintaining their momentum over the next two months.

"It's break time but it doesn't mean we can forget about what will happen after the break," he told Soccer Laduma.

"We have to come back stronger and maintain our fight in the league, if you look at the top five teams there is not much difference and anything can happen to any team.

"We just have to focus on our games both locally and in Africa and that needs us to be strong and dedicated for all the competitions in the New Year."
