Jele: Leopards is a changed team

Cape Town - Happy Jele expects a very different situation when Orlando Pirates travel to Congo to face AC Leopards in a CAF Confederation Cup group encounter this weekend.

The two teams met back in 2013 in the Champions League but the defender says it won't be the same this time around.

The Mpumalanga-born defender tells Sport24 that Leopards are a different team now from the one they played and beat two years ago.

"We know the environment, we know the situation as we have been there before but Leopards is a changed team," Jele said.

"We have watched their recent videos and they have many new faces but that means nothing to us.

"For us it's to go out there and make sure we come back with maximum points or at least a draw. That's what we want."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
