Jali: I have no beef with Krol

Johannesburg - Andile Jali has rubbished suggestions that he is on bad terms with Orlando Pirates coach Ruud Krol.

The midfielder was substituted during Bucs' 3-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout final on Saturday night and headed straight to the dressing room in disgust.

When asked about the young Bafana Bafana star's response to being replaced, Krol said: "Jali was upset that I changed him because he wasn't doing what I wanted him to, but that is his problem, not mine."

However, Jali insists he was not angry at his coach's decision, but rather the way Pirates were playing in the Soweto derby.

He told the club's official website: "That is a big match and of course, I did not want to come off. But I am not the coach.

"I have to respect the coach - if he felt he had to bring in somebody who could do the business for the team then it is fine with me.

"I went into the changing room just to cool off because I hate losing - it is not that I was angry with the coach or anything."

When asked why Vladimir Vermezovic's men had the upper hand, Jali said: "I do not think Chiefs were superior than us the first goal they scored was a mistake we committed at the back and they pounced on it.

"In big matches you cannot make mistakes because it kills you if you are not very strong."

However, the midfielder feels his team-mates will bounce back.

"They scored the second goal from a good counter attack and that was basically it. We are a strong team and we will come back from this... we can play against anybody and we can also win," he added.

"Maybe next time we have to be more organized and keep our shape when we go forward. We also created very little goal scoring chances, but it is okay."
