Injury update: Manyisa on the mend

Cape Town – Orlando Pirates confirmed that club captain, Oupa Manyisa, has been discharged from hospital following a successful surgery.

According to Orlando Pirates website, the Buccaneers medical team has revealed its latest news on the injury list.

Heading the list is Manyisa who underwent surgery to rectify his ankle fracture last week.

According to the medical report, the operation went as scheduled without any complications.

Manyisa was discharged from Linksfield Hospital earlier in the week and can start with upper body training from next week.

Meanwhile, Brighton Mhlongo continues to make good progress with regards.

The 24-year old goalkeeper is continuing with his rehabilitation programme and is allowed to partake in light training sessions.

As for the rest of the players, according to the medical team, it is all clear.
