Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund has told Sport24 that he signed two new players recently - but refused to name them.

Asked whether Igesund would be bringing in any cover for Dove Wome in the middle of the park, the Matsatsantsa coach sprung a surprise.

“No, what about David Mathebula? What about the two new signings that I’ve made that no one knows about just yet?”

After being pressed for the names of the unknown signings Igesund was his typically brash self.

“Well I can’t talk about them that's exactly why I said no one knows about them right now!”

“You know my squad is sorted now, Stan Matthews has been working around the clock. He’s secured some of the players that I requested. He’s been magnificent. We should know more about in the next week or so, definitely before the season starts.”

It seems clear that Igesund is assembling a strong squad to push for trophies next season.

However, the question that still remains is, whether he has the ability to keep star signing Jeremy Brockie.
