Pretoria - SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund believes his charges are on the right track, despite their poor start to the PSL campaign, following his second consecutive victory at the helm of Matsatsantsa.
United enjoyed their weekend triumph as they thumped Bloemfontein Celtic 3-0 at the Lucas Moripe stadium thanks to Dino Ndlovu, Thato Mokeke and Clayton Daniels strikes.
The former Bafana Bafana mentor hinted that although his troops are playing attractive football, he is more concerned about their impatience to get into the penalty area.
The most decorated coach in the PSL said his team needs to show patience and keep possessions as much as possible with no rush of getting into the opposition box.
"We have scored six goals in two matches and only conceded once, I am very happy with that," said Igesund.
"But we still have to play better in certain areas. We need to keep possession as much as possible and we must do that a bit more, these guys are always eager to get forward.
"Sometimes we need to slow the game and enjoy the possession a little bit so that we could strategise our attacks, but otherwise I am happy with the progress of this team so far and I believe we are moving so well."
United’s next league game will be against their Pretoria rivals, University of Pretoria, on 18 October.
In the meantime, they will switch their focus to their Telkom Knockout clash against Free State Stars on Saturday.
