According to Soccer Laduma, former Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund is expected to be unveiled as the new Matsatsansta head coach on Monday, September 1.

With his national team contract only expiring on Sunday, August 31, Igesund will in fact only have been out of a job for a few hours.

Igessund has the task of making an immediate impact on the club's fortunes following a disappointing start to the 2014/15 season.

SuperSport are currently just one point better than AmaZulu on the log and may be in further danger, albeit after only five games, if the side succumbs to the Glamour Boys on Saturday.

Kaitano Tembo and Kwanele Kopo will take the roles of caretaker in the meantime, as United face a tough challenge from Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, August 30 at 20:15.

Should GI be appointed on Monday, he will have almost two weeks to get to know his new squad before Matsatsansta take on Platinum Stars on Saturday, September 13.
