Goals from Lebogang Manyama and Dove Wome secured a spot in the cup final for the Matsatsantsa.
"I thought we really played well in the first half. We scored
three goals, two of them were allowed and the other one was disallowed,
but I know that the other one was onside," Igesund told Football411 website.
"The second half was little bit different; of course when you are
losing 2-0 you have to send bodies forward and I thought we defended
well.
"I would have liked to keep the ball better like we did in the
first half, but credit to Pirates … I think they made a real challenge
of it."
Despite this, Igesund cautioned against getting too carried away
with his side's progress, asserting that there is plenty of room for
improvement.
"I still think there is quite a lot of work to be done; we are not where I want us to be at the moment," he said.
"There is definitely a lot more; we keep our shape nicely and if
you look at the types of players we have like Manyama, Thuso Phala, Dino
Ndlovu, David Mathebula ... they are all attacking players."
Igesund happy with progress
