Igesund back in action?

Johannesburg - Outgoing Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund is reportedly close to becoming SuperSport United's head coach.

According to KickOff, Cavin Johnson has been fired following United’s poor start to the season and Igesund is finalising a deal to become the new coach.

It is reported that Serame Letsoaka (Igesund's assistant at Bafana) and Igesund  has been in discussions with SuperSport’s club officials.

The current assistant coach Kaitano Tembo is expected to hold the fort as caretaker while negotiations are ongoing.

Tembo along with Kwanele Kopo has led the team’s training session on Thursday, August 28 in the absence of outgoing Johnson ahead of their epic Absa Premiership encounter against Kaizer Chiefs.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, August 30.
