The Soweto side were in remarkable form all through the season and claimed the league title in comfortable fashion after winning the MTN8 early on.
It was Masilela's second league and cup double at Chiefs after clinching the Premiership and Nedbank Cup double during the 2012/2013, and he is keen to add to his collection next season.
"I came to Chiefs to win trophies," Masilela told the club's official website.
"Because that's what I want - I want to achieve and win things.
"It was a roller coaster ride. Now I go on holiday to recharge the batteries to be sharp when pre-season starts.
