Cape Town - After being demoted from Mamelodi Sundowns starting XI last season, Ramahlwe Mphahlele revealed that the snub only made him more eager to fight for his place.

According to Goal.com, the defender lost his place to Bryce Moon last season which encouraged him buckle down and prove to coach Pitso Mosimane his hunger.
"Look, football is about taking your chances.
"Obviously I had a slow start last season, but I never looked down," said the 24-year-old defender.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele reveals that he always believed in himself as well as in his potential to be in the starting line-up.
"The coach (Pitso Mosimane) gave me a chance and I grabbed it with both hands.
"When you play, the most important thing is teamwork." added Mphahlele.
"If the team does well then you are likely to stay in the team, but if the team is shaky and we are losing and drawing games, then the coach will always look for other options by change line-ups."
Sundowns face fellow Absa Premiership title contenders Bidvest Wits when the PSL resumes on Saturday, October 18 at Loftus Stadium. Kick-off is at 18:00.
