Hunt's cry slowly being answered

Cape Town - After grinding out a win against SuperSport United, Gavin Hunt believes that victories at home are vital for a title challenge.

Thulani Hlatshwayo scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute as Wits marched on to secure all three points.

According to KickOff, Hunt admitted that ever since he joined Bidvest Wits, one of his targets was to avoid dropping any points when they play at Bidvest Stadium.

“We really deserved to win,” said Hunt.

“We have always dropped points at home and that has been my cry since I joined this team.

“If we are to challenge for league honours we have to win our home games, can't afford dropping points at home.”

The Clever Boys next play University of Pretoria in their last PSL fixture for the year.

Kick-off is at 15:30 on Sunday, December 21.
