Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt was unimpressed with Chippa United's negative tactics in their goalless draw at the Bidvest Stadium.

Hunt believes the Chilli Boys were playing for the draw from the outset and killed any chance of making the game a spectacle.

"We were the only team playing tonight and the other team was sitting back for the whole game, and they never bothered to play," he said.

"So it was always going to be difficult for us to play alone against a team that is sitting back for the whole game."

Hunt did clarify his opinion by saying he understood why the visitors took that mentality in to the fixture, considering the two teams are at opposite ends of the table and Chippa need all the points they can get to avoid relegation.

"However I can't blame them, they have to do what they have to do to survive and they did just that," he added.

"For the whole game they had only one chance, and that says it all."
