Cape Town – Gavin Hunt has heaped praise on his Bidvest Wits side that saw off Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 in a PSL encounter.

According to Soccer Laduma, Hunt believes a little bit of magic from Sibusiso Vilakazi has long been overdue as he scored the only goal to split the two sides at the end of 90 minutes.

"I thought we were a different class, we played brilliantly, there was only one side," he said after the game.

"We were really good, we could have been two-three (goals) up in the first half, we didn't take our chances, which has been hurting us all season.

"We battled all the way and we had a bit of magic from Vila, which has been a long time coming."

In the 76th minute, Wits broke the deadlock when the man of the match, Vilakazi made his way into the box, beat Ramahlwe Mphahlele with his piece of skill before slotting past the oncoming Onyango.

Wits are now second position on the PSL log seven points behind log leaders Kaizer Chiefs but Amakhosi have a game in hand as they take on Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday, March 4.
