Hlatshwayo: We want to win MTN8

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo reveals that their aim is to win the MTN8 trophy this season.

Wits surpassed SuperSport United 3-1 in their quarter-final clash before being courted with Ajax Cape Town for their two-legged semi-final bout.

The former Urban Warriors defender said that as a team they know winning trophies doesn't come easy and that playing against his former club will be difficult task.

Hlatshwayo came through the Ajax youth ranks, and made his Ajax first team debut in 2009 as a teenager.

"Coach Roger de Sa knows our team very well, but I also know Ajax very well," Hlatshwayo told Sport24

"Both teams are very good and play almost similar types of football, but we want to reach the finals and win this trophy this season.

"To do that we have to make sure we win both semi-final legs of the competition and win the final as well.

“Obviously it won't be easy but we can do it."
