“It’s been a bit of tough one this morning,” said Mokoena in an interview with Power FM.

“(I’ve) been up since 01:00 obviously when we received the news and we rushed to the scene and that is where it was really confirmed indeed, Richard had passed away.”

However, Mokoena did not want to go into much detail about the accident as he felt he has limited information.

“My information with regard to what actually happened is obviously limited.

“I guess that’s all forensics and I am not prepared to weigh in on that.”

Mokoena added: “Richard was headed to Bethlehem. He collided with a truck; it was a head-on collision.”
