In a telephonic interview with Power FM, Mokoena admitted that Ea Lla Koto brought the 31-year-old from Mamelodi Sundowns on loan because they saw that he had a lot to offer the club.
“There is no doubt that Richard is a great footballer and a great goal scorer that is why we brought him in,” said Mokoena.
“Last season when we brought him in, halfway through the season he only played fifteen games or so but he was amongst the whiskers of the club and that goes without saying that Richard is a top player.”
Mokoena added: “For us knowing that Richard is a good player and he was just struggling for game time at Sundowns, given the fact that Sundowns have a huge squad.”
