Cape Town - Platinum Stars have confirmed that talks are at an advanced stage to bring Bidvest Wits defender, Siboniso Gumede, to Rustenburg with the move expected to be finalized before the end of this week.
Platinum Stars football manager, Senzo Mazingiza, confirmed that the player is already in Rustenburg though they are yet to conclude the deal.
“There are a number of players here with us, but talks are still on-going to finalize their move to Platinum Stars,” Mazingiza said.
“As for Gumede, negotiations are at advanced stage with his parent club to take him and Robin Ngalande and hopefully the deal will be sealed before the end of this week”
Ngalande played for Dikwena in the weekend’s Maize Challenge while Gumede only started training with the team on Tuesday.
The Cavin Johnson’s side is believed to have already signed Mbongeni Mzimela and Siyabonga Zulu, who were in the books of Chippa United last season along with Khulekani Madondo formerly with Amazulu.
Mazingiza also confirmed that Dikwena will use the royal Bafokeng and Moruleng stadium in the new season while their plan is to also reach out to all their supporters within the North West Province.
