Johannesburg - Ayanda Gcaba says he is determined to build on a decent display he showcased at Loftus Stadium against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The hard tackling centre back featured regularly in the team’s Africa Champions League campaign last year, was impressive when the Buccaneers trounced Sundowns 3-0.
The versatile defender was preferred ahead of Rooi Mahamutsa in last nights’ match despite that being just his first appearance for the club in the new season.
“It is all about being ready to play,” said Gcaba to the clubs website.
“As a player it does not help to develop an attitude when you are not playing.”
Gcaba believes he was given a fair opportunity to in the starting XI at and hopes he did enough to earn more game time.
“I have been training well and playing against Sundowns, help the team win without conceding, is something I’m really proud of.”
“We have big plans for the season,” reveals the defender.
“We have to keep fighting and try to play well for the team. There is nothing special I’m doing - it is just about being given a chance to help.”
The Buccaneers next face a trip to the Peter Mokaba Stadium for their Absa PSL clash with Polokwane City on Saturday, August 30 at 15:00.
