Johannesburg - With only one month left before the 2015 Carling Black Label Cup, Orlando Pirates striker Thamsanqa Gabuza is urging their supporters to vote for him so he can participate in the fifth edition of the one-day spectacle.
Pirates will face perennial rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the 2015/16 season curtain raiser at FNB Stadium on August 1.
Despite good recent form for the Buccaneers in the CAF Confederation Cup and for Bafana Bafana in the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, the 27-year-old goal poacher is still struggling to break into Pirates starting XI as he is still behind Kermit Erasmus and Lehlohonolo Majoro in the voting ranks.
“Ganda-ganda” believes there are plenty of Pirates fans eager to watch him play in the Soweto derby after his rejuvenated form.
Gabuza has also promised to return them a favour inside the field of play when the two sides renew their rivalry.
“What I can say or ask the Pirates supporters is that please vote for me guys,” pleaded Gabuza.
“I will highly appreciate it if you include me in the line up to play Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup.
“I am relying on you guys with regard to this and I believe that you won’t disappoint.
“I know there are plenty of supporters who want to see me playing during the derby.
“Guys please vote for me and I will do my best to contribute positively to the team on the day.”
