According to KickOff, the former Bafana Bafana coach hopes that they can overturn the red card.

"I am disappointed with the red card,” said Igesund.

“Thuso ran about 25 metres with the guy on his back and when he tried to shake him off to get away from him, the referee sent him off.

"I don't want to complain about this situation but I was hoping they can have a look at it and he (referee Gomes) says he made a mistake... and let's see if the red card is overturned."

Matsatsantsa’s 3-1 loss to Sundowns has pushed them out of the top eight as they are now find themselves in 11th place with 15 points.

Igesund and United travel to the Mother City to face Ajax Cape Town on Sunday, December 7.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
